Tour Description: Embark on a scenic drive to Selçuk en route to Ephesus, where the Virgin Mary is believed to have spent her final days. You'll visit the charming stone chapel at the House of the Virgin Mary, then continue down the slope to explore the ancient city of Ephesus. Walk along the Marble Road as your guide reveals the history behind impressive ruins such as the Boulaterion and Temple of Domitian. Marvel at the Fountain of Trajan and the nearby Temple of Hadrian, before visiting the Terrace Houses, an upscale Roman neighborhood. You'll also see the renowned Library of Celsus and the Great Theater of Ephesus, where St. Paul once preached, and an uprising took place (Acts 19). After exploring the Roman Theater, a brief stop at the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, follows. Enjoy a traditional Turkish lunch at the Nakkas Arts & Crafts village, featuring a folk dance performance and a presentation on Turkish weaving arts and rugs. Conclude your day with a return to Kusadasi, enriched by Roman history and Turkish culture.
